Download the Case Study

Project Overview

Overlooking the Harlem River, 101 Lincoln is a dynamic, four-tower development with 921 apartments, 40,000 square feet of shared amenities, an expansive esplanade and retail space. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Brookfield Properties, the project required a security infrastructure capable of scaling across a high-density residential campus – without sacrificing control or clarity.

The SMS Approach

Security Management Systems (SMS) worked closely with the development team to deliver an integrated system that would grow with the community and offer day-to-day ease of use. With hundreds of doors, cameras and access points, the design focused on scalability, efficiency and reliability.

Technology Highlights

Comprehensive coverage included:

  • 931 Comelit apartment intercoms across all towers

  • 952 doors secured using the Latch access control system

  • 140 Vivotek cameras connected through a Milestone VMS platform

  • Area of refuge intercoms for life safety and ADA compliance

Results

With a single, centralized platform managing thousands of access and surveillance points, 101 Lincoln is equipped to handle both resident needs and operational demands. The SMS solution offers peace of mind for property managers and a seamless experience for tenants, laying the foundation for a secure, connected and community-driven environment.
